Sumac Spiced Red Onions

Marinated in red wine vinegar, these onions are a deliciously tangy and sweet side for our famous Chicken Shawarma recipe or the Adana Kebap.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine thinly sliced onions with red wine vinegar and sumac.
  2. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Salt to taste
